They are seventh in the standings, six points behind Atalanta, which is sixth and last in the group that will get European football next season. However, the return of Paul Pogba, who played his first game for Juve since leaving Manchester United last summer, could give them an even bigger boost.
"It must be stated that 10 points remains a significant gap. It would be extraordinary to need an average of two points per game. We have broken away from Torino and captured Bologna, which is in eighth place. We should also mention that we received fifty points," Allegri stated to DAZN.
In Turin's "Derby della Mole," Torino scored the fastest Serie A goal ever before the Allianz Stadium crowd had time to find their seats.
After 92 seconds, the visitors took the lead when Yann Karamoh scored from close range after being left unmarked from a corner.
After 16 minutes, Juan Cuadrado's shot deflected off a Torino defender and past keeper Vanja Milinkovic-Savic to bring Juve level. Filip Kostic then ran into the box and crossed for Juan Cuadrado.
A flurry of activity occurred in the final minutes before the break when Torino's Antonia Sanabria scored in the 43rd minute and Danilo headed in the equalizer in the final minute.
Halfway through the second half, Torino's Karol Linetty nearly scored again, but his superb curled shot from the edge of the box went over the crossbar.
Pogba received a standing ovation when he made his first appearance of the season in Serie A in the 69th minute. After six seasons at Old Trafford, the France international returned to Turin last summer after missing the World Cup due to injury.
"We are pleased Pogba is back with us after a long absence. We need everyone available because we have a game every three days," Allegri stated.
In the 71st minute, Gleison Bremer headed Federico Chiesa's cross into the net after breaking free of his marker.
"The lads really put in a great performance against a difficult team to break down," Juve said after 10 minutes when Adrien Rabiot bundled in a set piece into the box. Juve is now unbeaten in their last 16 Turin derbies in Serie A. "We deserved to win," Allegri stated.
With 31 points, Torino is ninth in the league.
